Dr. Kristine Siao received her BS in Biochemistry and Cell Biology at UC San Diego. She went on to earn a MS in Pharmacology and Toxicology, and then her DVM from UC Davis, followed by a rotating internship in small animal specialty practice (VCA SFVS). She completed her residency in Veterinary Anesthesia and Critical Patient Care at UC Davis, then started the anesthesia service at VCA San Francisco Veterinary Specialists. Dr. Siao oversaw that service before heading back to the peninsula. Dr. Siao has published numerous papers, mostly related to the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of various anesthetic and analgesic drugs specifically in cats.
Dr. Siao is from the Bay Area and lives in the Peninsula. When she isn’t busy at work, Dr. Siao enjoys spending time and traveling with her family.
Dr. Siao’s role is to oversee all aspects of anesthesia for sensitive and critical patients, to tailor anesthetic protocols for all of our anesthetized patients, and to support our technical staff in monitoring and supporting each patient.
